My seller has not acknowledged that I have returned my item- what now?

I bought a large item from the seller and it arrived damaged.

I then started a return- had a postal label printed and arranged through Royal Mail to collect.

The label was obviously inadequate for the door, so I delivered the door back to them. They have not acknowledged receipt of the part, except through messaging where they have denied a refund saying the door was damaged after delivery- even though the door has not even been unpacked and remains in their packaging.

What now? Because a return is started, I can't seem to get through the automated customer service prompts and talk to anyone at ebay.

Without online proof of delivery back to the seller ebay won't help you through the case.

You can try and explain to ebay and show them the message proving receipt, but you don't need to do this through the case.

Thank you for replying. Any idea what my next steps might be? I can't seem to be able to get through to ebay to explain anything.
