Max bid was me but I was outbid

Highest bid was made by me however I was outbid and I have contacted the seller but I have not yet received her reply.  Any advice would be helpful.

The winning bidder placed their maximum bid on the 26th October, as other bidders bid, ebay will utomatically increase the winner's bid until their maximum is reached.  The date above reflects the date they placed their bid, which is why it is before yours.

Your last bid was not enough to beat their maximum by the required increment.

If you look at the bid history including automatic bids you will see they are in italics and a lighter font.

If you were outbid, you didn't make the highest bid.

Thw winner could have placed the same bid as you but earlier.

What was the item number?

Max bid was me but I was outbid

Hi thank you for your reply.
item number is 306563074300,  I placed the highest bid for gbp800, but then the ended price was below that.  And i did not win, so i am not sure if if anything i could do about this.  Thank you for your advice.  Kind regards. Lyrise

The winner placed the same bid as you, but before you.

If you look at the sold item, you can see the entire bidding history.

The figures above exclude the buyer protection fee, that's why they are not £800.

Thank you for explaining these to me.  However when I click into the bidders, I did not see any winner who appeared before me.  I only seen him won but not seen me out bid until the last moment.
