Mastercard gift card

I have a Mastercard gift card to a value slightly less than the item I wish to buy. Can I use the gift card and pay the balance using another card or Paypal? I suspect the answer is obvious, but I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere...

Gift cards as a payment method cannot be used on eBay UK.

If you click on the item you wish to buy,  all the various payment methods cards / PayPal will show on that listing.

It's a prepaid Mastercard though - can I make part payment with that, and pay the balance via another method?

 I think you can use your gift Mastercard through Paypal, see: https://getsby.com/en/add-a-mastercard-gift-card-to-your-paypal-account/

If so, you could pay by PayPal and use the Mastercard to part-pay the payment.
