Lost phone - buyer re-imbursed but I've got nothing?

I recently sold my husbands Samsung Galaxy Phone on EBAY.

(just like I've always done with both his and my own phones when we got a new one - never had an issue before).

However, when the payment was still showing as pending, I cintacted the seller to see if the phone had arrived - it hadn't.

I received a message from Ebay saying they were on the case to resolve the issue.

Then I get a message to say they've refunded the buyer because the phone was lost in transit.

Has anyone else had this issue - is there any way i can get the value of the phone back??

If it was sent using ebay's Simple Delivery ebay will have refunded the buyer themselves and you keep the payment.

As advised, with Simple Delivery, Ebay refund the buyer if items don't arrive.

Check in 'payments' to see if the buyer's payment has been released to you.

If a few days have passed from receiving Ebay's message, contact Customer Services.

Tell them the item was sent using SD and never arrived, that Ebay refunded the buyer and you are still waiting for payment.

There are a lot of complaints about SD, but this is a huge benefit to sellers who no longer have to try and claim from reluctant carriers when things go missing.
