Lost parcel by Evri but they say claim through eBay

Posted a parcel with a label from eBay , parcel since been lost , confirmed by Evri , but Evri refused my claim and told me to claim through eBay , but where do I claim the value of the parcel ? £ 20 value but can’t get past ai assistant saying postage only ! Anybody able to help

If you used Simple Delivery ask the buyer to open a "not received" case.  eBay will refund the buyer themselves and you keep the original payment.

Already sent replacement, so I’m out of pocket , I need refunding for the original item ?

I don't think ebay will do anything retrospectively but you could them and ask.
