I delivered my sold item and courier has now lost it, order is now refunded how do I get my money back from EBAY as Yodel say EBAY as the retailer have to deal with it they can't help me directly.

When you buy postage from eBay you are actually using a 3rd party broker-Packlink and any claims are made through them.
