Listing deactivated DUE TO POLICY VIOLATION.

Hi,

I sell travel adaptors and, all of a sudden, eBay has stopped my listings. Customers who bought these adaptors were sent messages from eBay claiming the product has a policy violation and instructing them to contact me for a refund.

I appealed the decision and submitted all the required testing documents, but my appeal was rejected for a completely nonsensical reason that referred to a different model number altogether.

In eBay’s appeal decision, they included a link stating that the product was recalled by HMRC. However, when I checked, the model number on that notice was completely different from the products I sell. Despite this, eBay has blocked me from appealing again and marked their decision as final—even though it doesn’t relate to my product at all.

Do you have any suggestions on how I should proceed? This situation is extremely frustrating and unfair.

Here is HMRC link for product recall fo4 model number 9625 Black color

Kind regards,

Ebay tends to go overboard when it comes to product recalls and won't change their decision.

By the way, all government departments use .gov.uk, not just HMRC.   HMRC don't issue recall notices.
