Post office has given me ref number for my tracked item saying they delivered it on Saturday , I was in all day no postman came to my house , I've tried to track said item and and ask for proof of delivery to no avail have not even got pictures as ref number doesn't match I've also tried to contact post office and still got no answers ,my question is what do I do now , I've contacted the seller to see if she can get proof of delivery by photos

Seller should have correct tracking number. 
I hope you have not really been dealing with Post Office, ROYAL MAIL do deliveries and any queries at your end should be made to your local RM delivery office.

Was the item sent by a Tracked Service?

Check your Purchase Page to see if the Tracking number entered by the item matches the Tracking number given by the Post Office.

Was the item purchased from a Business or a Private Seller ? -  If a Private Seller using Simple Delivery, contact eBay for their advice.
