Klarna purchase option not available at checkout

I went to make a purchase, the seller had the items listed with an option to buy using Klarna, on selecting the item it then said the Klarna option would be available at checkout, when I went to checkout it didn't give the Klarna option and said "your payment in full has been successful" I immediately tried to cancel the order but it says I have to wait for the seller to authorise the cancellation, I contacted the seller and they said that its Ebay that authorises that part and that they can't authorise the cancellation from their end. What do I do?

The seller has to issue the cancellation, nothing to do with eBay.

Thank you for responding and for confirmation of what the process is, what do I do in this situation whereby the transaction in full has gone through and not via the proposed option, it literally said Klarna would be an option at checkout only for me to find that I wasn't given any options and payment was just taken from my account. Now the seller isn't responding.

My guess is that the seller listed with immediate payment required.  You don't go through checkout as normal then.

It's still them that has to cancel.
