I've had days when a item sells it comes from a buyer that wants it delivered in Jersey or Guernsey and they have custom clearance conditions over there areas eventhough they are part of UK.
However the reason why I believe they should be listed as international places is not only of the custom clearance but the services it limits you to send items over there. All UK postage services, includes Royal Mail, don't accept tracked service use across to their islands.
eBay should be listing these as international communities considering they have their own independent away from the UK itself.

I don't agree.
You can use RM tracked services to send to the Channel Isles. The cost is the same, You will have to complete a CN22 customs form but you can pick one up in the Post Office and spend a minute filling it in.
Personally, with so few sales at the moment, I would welcome buyers from Jersey or Guernsey.

Selling to the Channel Islands is like any other Uk destination. The Channel Islands are classed as Crown Dependencies, Jersey includes its GST of 5% at time of payment and Guernsey are considering a GST at present.
Royal Mail tracked services are available eg Tracked 24/48 and these are sent VAT free so infact for example a Tracked 24 parcel is only around £4.13 instead of the £5.15 you would pay at a post office counter. All other postal services eg special delivery, (again which is tracked) or standard services pricing prevails at the prices advertised by RM where in general prices are exempt from VAT.
The customs declaration is an historic thing between the CI's and UK, and is more of a paperwork exercise. The Channel Islands and the UK are part of the same customs union so no duty is charged. They take a couple of minutes to do.

I totally disagree with you. Tracked 24 and 48 isn't accepted through RM, so this solution was pointless

Hi there, actually I have checked. Tracked services such as 24 and 48 aren't permitted beyond the arrival of item at these locations.
Therefore I won't likely see if item has been successfully delivered or not

Scratch that, it is accepted, however, tracking stops the movement is arrives on their island, Not at the destination itself.
