Item withdrawn after sale.

I have received an email from ebay informing me that the item I purchased is either not available / out of stock or is damaged. I bid on the item in the auction and won it at £34.49 as per the terms on the site. The delivery has been delayed and delayed and I have now received the email informing me that it is either out of stock or damaged and that I would receive a refund.

Looking at the site today for a similar watch, I note that the same watch is up for sale, with the same seller but the price has been pushed up to £68.28

Clearly it is not out of stock or damaged. Please explain how this can be right? How can I win an auction within the terms of the site and of the seller (at the time), for them to then withdraw it because they are not happy with the amount of the sale? If the seller has a minimum amount in mind they should set a reserve?

Item withdrawn after sale.

You're right, of course but ebay cannot force a seller to sell.
