Item send and buyer received it damaged.

I sent parcel and it was received damaged. Item was very well packed. I used ebay simple delivery. Buyer is sympathetic over situation.  So what happens now ?

As its not my fault or his what the next step ?

The buyer needs to open a return case using the reason 'damaged in transit'.

Then, as long as you used Simple Delivery, Ebay will deal with the claim.

They will refund the buyer, tell them they can keep the item, and pass the buyer's payment to you.

This can only go wrong if they open a case for the wrong reason or you jump in and refund them yourself.

If you used Simple Delivery,  here is the process for you and the buyer to follow.

The buyer needs to open a case stating ...  item damaged in transit .

Under SD rules eBay will refund the buyer,  and you get to keep the payout.
