Had an item not arrived no contact with seller asked eBay to help they managed to contact seller who said if I close the complaint he will post in the morning I did this and of course he never sent and once the complaint is closed eBay would not do anything so I basically lost £140….my own fault I know for being so trusting but just a little warning to help anyone else this might happen to ….so much for buyer protection

Buyer protection works if you follow the process but it's hard if someone sets out to scam you.
Contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback. If you used Paypal or your credit/debit card you should get your money back.

You should easily get a refund through paypal.
I hope you will leave a well deserved negative feedback for the seller who knew that once closed, ebay will not force a refund.
