Item delivered but showing as not received

Recently sold an item (untracked) and when it remained as 'not delivered' I messaged the buyer who has received the item and is happy with it and given me positive feedback.  But EBAY do not provide him with the facility to mark it as delivered, so EBAY continue to have my money as pending.

These seems a cynical policy by EBAY to hold on to payments - so what can I do?

If you send tracked, you get payment 2 days after it shows as delivered. 

Without tracking, you get paid 14 days after posting.

You will just have to wait for payment.

Ebay have said that they will introduce a new policy of releasing funds, for items sold for under £10, 24 hours after positive feedback is received.  But this has not started yet.

EBAY could easily allow the recipient to mark it as delivered (as they used
to be able to) or mark it as delivered when a positive feedback is given,
but oh no, let's hold on to the sellers money for at least two weeks, and
then it takes at least a further two days to get to the bank account after
it is withdrawn.
EBAY is now as bad as Vinted - I won't be using them again for selling.

As far as I am aware, buyers have never been able to mark as delivered, as it was never necessary. They are quick enough though to open a NOT DELIVERED case.

Yes they could mark something as being delivered by right-clicking the item
and selecting it. If you Google this you will find some old instructions
on how to do it.

True - how foolish of me to assume that EBAY.com and EBAY.co.uk would share
the same service !
