Is it not possible to talk to eBay at all in anyway, including emails?

I want to contact eBay and it seems impossible , I’m looking at buying an item that cost 1000 pound and going to collect it but when I get there if there’s a problem with it, what happens? do I take the item away with me until I get a refund and then what the item weighs 80 kg and it’s 110 miles away from my house. Why can’t I just be given the address to look at it and then buy it when I get there if everything’s great?

You can't exchange contact info until you win item, so can't view item. 

You win, pay through ebay checkouts (no cash on collection anymore).

When you pay, you get collection code, go and inspect item, if happy give seller collection code. 

If not happy, no code, ask seller to cancel, this gives you refund.
