International shipping

USA seller has item (a small clock) being auctioned at present (bids have already been received) with shipping to UK listed as costing $76.04 (£57.49). Ebay International Postage is listed as the shipping method. I have bought two very similar items from the USA recently and paid much less for shipping; on both occasions it was the Global Shipping Programme that was the shipping method. I contacted the seller and he would like to change the shipping method and cost but has not been able to.  I am wondering if, in these circumstances,  it is/should be possible to change the shipping method and related cost. Over to you guys!

Once item is part of GSP seller can't change postage.

Seller would have to end item, opt out of GSP and relist item with postage he arranges to UK,

I doubt they are willing to do that.

Don't forget GSP costs also include import fees based on item sold price,

It is not just postage.
