International postage

I have had an item bought from me today and I was not aware my listing had an international postage option to which I buyer from Germany has purchased, the postage is only £2.75 which has been paid by the buyer, is there any other costs that I’m going to have to pay? If so could I just cancel the transaction?

Is the address you have to send to a UK address?

If your items are listed with Ebay's Global Shipping Programme, you just have to send tracked to the UK address shown in 'order details'. So, no extra postage cost for you.

I haven't had an international sale for a while, but there may be some fees to pay.

International fee

If your registered address is in the UK, we charge an international fee of 3% if the delivery address for the item (entered by the buyer during checkout) is outside the UK.

This fee is calculated on the total amount of the sale and is automatically deducted from your sales proceeds. The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, postage, and any applicable taxes.

Cancelling a sale without buyers agreement will damage your account.

I can see no reference to Global Shipping on your listing, and also no shipping cost to Germany, so do not see how buyer could have paid. If you are now expected to post to Germany then £2.75 will not be adequate, but you cannot ask for more.

If however the postal address is Lichfield then that  means it is Global shipping.
