The buyer this morning messaged me to send her 6 more (the same as she has already received), admitting the original order were not broken in transit and were viable.
As I won't be sending them for free I ignored her request.
She has opened a returns request under the reason of defective / doesn't work , after admitting there was nothing wrong with them, they were viable & wanting 6 more.
Why am I as the seller, forced to communicate with someone who is economical with the truth.
Where is the support for the seller in these circumstances.
The buyer wasn't ready to receive the perishable goods when she placed the order. Although dispatched, I gave her the option of delaying the posting by the maximum of 4 days that was on the postage label. After the weekend she felt she was ready & asked them to be posted on the original posting day.
Perhaps she wasn't ready, but is now, hence she wants me to send, in her words, ' 6 more viable' ones again.
It appears my only options are,
to communicate & try to resolve the matter with someone who flips from stating one thing & then states the opposite, has messaged me insults & threatened reporting me & giving me a bad review,
give her a refund,
or send her some more.
Is this fair on the seller?
Or is there a fairer option for sellers that I have missed?

You will have to send her a refund,she will win any case opened on eBay as you are not allowed to sell hatching eggs on eBay anymore which you obviosle knew

As advised, you are selling items you are not allowed to sell on the site - the sale of hatching eggs was prohibited several months ago.
The best way forward here would be the refund your buyer and remove your listings.
