I sold an item. I was originally going to use Evri to send the item. The buyer contacted me and advised they wanted to collect the item.
The funds for the item are on hold until I provide some confirmation that the item has been collected.
Does anyone know how to do this?
As the auction has ended, I can't change the delivery option, so Ebay still wants the tracking etc, which obviously I can 't give them.
Any help woud be great. Thanks

You wont get the collection code from the buyer as collection wasn't offered.
For an item of that value I suggest you cancel the original sale and relist as collection so the buyer will get the code to give you to enter on eBay and confirm collection.

You cannot now confirm collection if you have changed the original postal service.
There is not collection code, so you will need to wait 14 days before your payout is releases.
If there are current other holds, say for new or returning seller, your payout may be held a little longer.

It's a bad idea to allow a buyer to collect an item listed with postage, or to post an item listed for collection, as Ebay's systems can't accommodate this. It also makes a mess of seller protection.
You either cancel and relist, or wait 14 days for payment and hope the buyer is honest and doesn't make a claim for item not received.

Unfortunately the only evidence of delivery that ebay accepts is the code given to buyer for collection items, but this was not a collection item.
Evri has a very poor track record, I would suggest using Royal Mail, which is much more reliable.
Changing the method of delivery does leave you open to risk of an item not received case being opened. It is not very likely, but some buyers who know now the system works could abuse it.
