I received an item I bought on Ebay but it turns out to be an Amazon purchase. Nowhere on the sellers page does it identify this. I am returning this item as I do not buy from Amazon - deeply disappointing to be misled in this way. Anyone else come across this issue?

Business sellers are allowed to fulfil orders by direct delivery from their trade suppliers, including Amazon's commercial division. This is known as drop shipping.

Private sellers are not allowed to drop ship, and no sellers are allowed to fulfil orders by direct delivery from retail suppliers, including Amazon's retail site. So if your seller is a private seller this is reportable to eBay.

Many thanks for clarifying the difference between business & private sellers re drop shipping. I will avoid business sellers from now on.
