I paid for postage on a item i sold but eBay have held the postage costs back

I paid the postage costs for a item i sold and eBay have retained the postage costs

The buyer paid the postage to eBay who would have gven you a link to get the label,if you didn't use this the buyer will be refunded for the unused label and the alternative postage is at your expense

Thanks for the reply.. I guess thats whats happened as I was unsure when listing the item ebay auto filled the postage part... they said it would be £ 2.25  ended up costing me £5.40 at the post office... I'm done with ebay from now on...
