I paid for an item but the seller had sold it without letting me know

I paid for an item but the seller did not tell me it had already been sold. I'm absolutely gutted by this as I really wanted the item for my son. The seller never let me know I spent my last money onit and now I have nothing at all in my bank account. The seller should of let me know it was already sold. This is out of order and I'm pretty angry to be honest the seller should of let me know before I bought it

Hopefully the seller has cancelled the sale and refunded you.

Nope no refund I really liked that shirt it took me ages to find it cause
it matched my babies hat I was very excited cause I knew he would look
cool. The seller only told me it was sold after I paid for it which I think
is wrong

It is wrong and very bad selling, you can leave appropriate feedback.

Ask the seller to refund you asap by cancelling the order.

If they don't , you are left with waiting one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery,  and opening a case for item not received.

If the seller does not refund within 3 days you escalate the case,  eBay step in force the refund and gives the seller a deserved defect on their account.
