I paid for a collection only item. I messaged the seller but had no reply as to where it should be collected from. Tried messaging several times but no reply. Opened a query with eBay but they closed it and said I had no buyer protection (even though a buyer protection amount is sitting on the page). EBay are still holding my money. How do I get my money back?
You needed to wait 7 days and then open a case for item not received, did you do that that? Hopefully you haven't given the seller the collection code.
The buyer protection fee is not for this, it's the money back guarantee that you need to use.
This has gone on since May. After a month or so of the seller not replying I opened a case but eBay weren’t helpful, just kept saying I should contact the seller and then they eventually closed it saying I didn’t have payment protection. I managed to speak to someone this evening and they’re saying it’s closed and I don’t have payment protection. When I said it was wrong for them to hold my money I was cut off. Tried again and immediately was cut off. Does anyone ever try the small claims court with eBay and have success?
