I bought an item but it wasn’t right for me.
seller didn’t accept the return.
I can’t access eBay buyer protection to help with return, so that’s useless.
I listed the item, it says it’s a restricted item as its an air rifle part?
I listed it again using similar words to the seller I bought it from via eBay but listing was removed again.
eBay have now charged me for listing it! Twice?
both listing were up for about an hour & they charged me for listing an item then removed the item.
How is it I can I buy an item on eBay but not sell it on eBay as it’s restricted?
Feeling screwed here!

You are not screwed.
There are over 7 billion listings on eBay at any one time, so some invariably slip the net, and unfortunately some who break selling regulations, can become listed. No doubt this happened to your item when you purchase it.
There are no seller fees now so if you were charged you may have added an optional listing upgrade such as a Reserve, or listed it for a 3 day duration? Upgrades carry a non refundable listing fee which is charged the second the item goes live.
You've listed the item twice and it's been removed, be aware list it again and you may be banned from selling on eBay.
You'll need to find another platform / outlet to sell this item.

But taking money when they’ve refused listing, that’s not right.
I’ve been a member of eBay for a long time & never encountered anything close to problems like this?
Surely if the listing is removed there shouldn’t be a charge? As nothing was sold or even allowed to be listed for anyone to see or buy?
Why can’t I be refunded for the item I bought, it was sold through eBay platform?

EBay taking a fee for going to sell an item but then removing the item is like walking into a shop, buying something & they take it back as you leave the shop without giving you your money back.
I’m not happy about these charges as there wasn’t a sale & listing was removed.
I think it’s really unfair & a bit *bleep*

What were the charges for ?
Did you add any of the following?
Add any of the following optional listing upgrades, and they all come with a non refundable listing fee.
This is payable sale or no sale and charged the second the item goes live.
Reserves: 4% of the set reserve ( maximum £150 per item)
Subtitles: £2
Listing in 2 categories: 35p
Gallery Plus: £2.50 ( free for clothes and shoes)
Listings with duration 1 - 3 days 35p
You could contact Customer Services explain what has happened, they sometimes can do a discretionary refund of fees paid, no guarantee, but no harm asking !

' I listed the item, it says it’s a restricted item as its an air rifle part?'
Item was restricted as per Firearms and parts policy>

It’s not a firearm, it’s an air rifle part that I’d just bought off eBay which is the main reason I’m annoyed & then they charged me for trying to sell it on the same platform but removed the listing.
makes no sense
