I bid on an item and it said it was processing but I didn’t win

just bid on an item , my bid was higher than the bid already in.  The bid was obviously taken as it said deciding on winner … but I didn’t win !

why?

Unfortunately if you were down the last few seconds before you put in the bid then its about how fast your wifi/connection is to refresh, I can have my phone open on a listing to bid, but on the PC (directly connected not wifi) the time is more accurate and those few secs will make the difference if you waited - Ive learnt now not to wait til last 20s before bidding as Ive missed out due to this time lag.

If you put in the bid earlier then Im not sure what has happened unless the seller blocked your bid
