I am selling a collection which has more than one package for delivery

I have a collection to sell that will have multiple packages to deliver/collect - how do put this into ebay so that their system does the fees calculation - I have weights and dimensions - but costs would be huge between UK and overseas delivery?

Ebay's calculations for postage are often way out.

Are you selling the collection all together or splitting it up?

If it is really so big, you might be better approaching a 'bricks and mortar' auction house.

If you could give more information - what are you selling, how many etc. - that would help us give useful advice.

Thanks for replying - it's collectable The Simpsons product that I collected from 1990 to 2005 only 314 units but being still in their boxes makes for more packing space required...

TOTAL WEIGHT 48.5KG (heaviest box 14.6 kg) - 5 BOXES 49cm x 45cm x 34 cm - heavy duty boxes (designed for wine export safety)  

I hadn't considered an offline auction, using eBay is far more convenient for me. I could do the auction with free shipping and add to the initial start price for the auction - but could not venture into doing overseas option due to brexit and the current climate of tariffs and the unpredictability 

Thanks in advance for any further ideas - considering selling through FB collectors groups, but eBay has better protection options for both buyer and seller.

Personally, I would only sell within the UK and would look at Parcelforce for postage.

Parcelforce do a 'consignment rate'.

You can send up to 15 parcels to the same address and the price is less than sending each parcel as a single item.  No individual parcel can weigh more than 30kg.

The weight is over the maximum for Ebay's Simple Delivery and you do not have to buy postage through Ebay - you can take your parcels to the Post Office and pay there.
