Help

I purchased an item from seller on 26th December, I have received no update re: delivery so sent message for an update.   Still nothing, so I requested cancellation of order.  However l, under reason why, I have made an error and marked won't arrive in time and not item not received.  From what I can see, this will not allow me to ask ebay to investigate. HELP, what do I need to do?? Cannot seem to find way to contact ebay without it taking me to the bot 🙄

Re: Help

Requesting a cancellation is different to opening a 'not received" case.  You should still be able to do that now via the dropdown menu arrow next to the item on your purchases list.

Re: Help

You might have to wait for the cancellation request to time out.

What date did ebay give you for delivery?

Re: Help

It didn't, purchased 26th Dec with no estimated delivery date.  Only note Yodel to deliver to door.  Makes sense that I may need to wait till cancellation request to time out.

Re: Help

You cannot open a not received case until after expected arrival date, but as you say there is not an expected delivery date, then this will be difficult.

To be honest there must be a date quoted somewhere on your order, otherwise you could never open a case.

Seller is given a date by which they must dispatch, and delivery is based on this date.

Re: Help

Double checked, definitely no expected delivery date noted anywhere on app confirmation or email.  This my concern, if I cannot open a case, there must be other means of contacting ebay........I can find an email or contact number.

Re: Help

Those are the order details, not the original listing.

Go to the actual listing, the one you clicked on to buy the item.

The estimated delivery date will be there, open a case for item not received when one full day has passed that date.

Re: Help

Good,  one full day has to pass that last estimated date for delivery for you to open that case for item not received.

It gives the seller 3 days to refund you, if they don't,  do not forget to escalate on day 4.

Never close a case for any promise or excuse from the seller,  and do not forget to escalate.
