Help - package damaged by Evri

Hi,

I’ve sent my package by eBay simple send but this has been damaged by Evri and held. Buyer not happy so I’ve had to refund him as I was getting nowhere with Evri or EBay. Due to the world we live in, it’s impossible to discuss this with a human and fed up with being fobbed off by a chat bot.

Im the seller trying to get information so the below doesn’t exactly help me.

If you used Simple Delivery and an item is received damaged in transit,  buyer should open a case citing this damage,  then eBay refund the buyer and you,  the seller,  get to keep the payment.

If you refunded yourself,  there's no way now to be reimbursed by eBay, you can try Evri, I understand the process there is not straightforward.

if you wish to sell on eBay familiarise yourself how Simple Delivery works,  as eBay protect sellers against items lost or damaged in the post, by refunding themselves,  and you keep payouts for those items.

Your buyer should have opened a case for item  not received and ebay would have handled the refund.
