Gave refund, buyer hasn’t returned item

Hi, I contacted eBay as a buyer requested a refund (which I gave with postage) and he hasn't returned the item. I put in a complaint to eBay and they have gone silent. Buyer now has £ and the item. How do I contact eBay to find out what's happening. Chatbot useless.

Once you refund, ebay assume you do not want item returned, and any case opened automatically closes, and the facility to send a return label is no longer available.

As far as ebay are concerned there is nothing further they can do.

You should never refund until after item has been returned, it is now just between you and buyer.
