Funds on hold

I sold an item on 7th April and it says that my eBay balance is on hold until today 10th April but it's not showing. My item was delivered on 8th April. How long do I have to wait?

Re: Funds on hold

You've returned to selling after a long break and it's usual for returning sellers to have their initial payouts held for longer than the usual release after 24 hours after the buyer pays.

This is because,  sudden selling activity raises red flags to eBay , as it could be a sign your account is being hijacked,  so first few payouts may be held for longer,  until eBay are satisfied the real owner has returned to sell on the account.

eBay made this announcement re payouts  last year:

From 6 August, we’re also making it easier and faster for our more experienced sellers to receive their funds. This means you can get your funds within 24 hours of the buyer paying. To qualify for faster payment, all you’ll need to do is:

  • Complete at least 10 sales with a total of £150 or more within the last 5 years
  • Maintain 2 or fewer cases in the last 12 months
  •

Don't be surprised if this payout is held a little longer than being released today.

Do you mean it's not cleared, or it's not showing anywhere in your account?

Re: Funds on hold

Ebay's timings on payment are flexible and today has quite a few hours left!
