Hi, I paid a deposit for a car yesterday, the auction had finished, I messaged the seller directly,   had conversation on here then moved to whats app exchanged several message , happy with what was said , the payment was made, and now unable To contact the seller on any platform.... any suggestions

Vehicles sold on ebay and also deposits are not covered by ebay buyer protection,and there are whats app scams so it would appear you have become a victim,sorry.

A red flag of a possible scam is when eBay business is moved off eBay and that includes messages, as there's no legitimate reason for this to happen.

You've been parted from your money by one of the most common scams, I'm afraid. This one's been running for decades, I'm surprised you're not aware of it. 

Making a bank transfer to a complete stranger is basically giving your money away.
