First Negative Feedback

Hi everyone. So I got my first ever negative review recently. I did nothing wrong but when I tried the appeal thing through eBay, they unbelievably upheld the review. Is there any other way I can go about getting this removed? Apart from contacting the buyer as we are not on the best terms. It could just be a coincidence but my sales have really diminished since this review came in.

For a bit of background the negative review came about after I sold a baseball cap. The buyer then cut off all the tags and labels before trying it on, never tried to contact me or anything, and decided to leave a negative review upon realising that it didn't fit. They accused me of wrongly listing the size which I did not do. The only mistake I made was not taking a photo of the label with the size on. The size was 'one size'. As in one size fits all, so it never occurred to me that it would not fit someone. The buyer accused me of wrongly sizing the item and that's why eBay upheld the review. This was also a review by someone who had like 3 reviews in however many years, so it blew my mind that eBay decided to side with them over this.

Thank you

Re: First Negative Feedback

Even if it was still in time there is nothing said that would warrant ebay removing it.

Buyer should have started a Not as described case to return for a full refund. You should have suggested this, and if problem resolved you could then have tried sending a Feedback Revision request to the buyer.

She might not have changed it, but worth trying, and better than leaving a long follow up to her feedback which would certainly not get her to amend.

Re: First Negative Feedback

The buyer never told me that there was any issue. Just straight in with the negative review. And then when I contacted her to try to resolve this, I was told that it was a tit-for-tat response and I fully deserved the negative review. So there was no chance of her removing it anyway.

My biggest grievance here is that this is someone who barely uses eBay and blatantly doesn't care about the impact of leaving such a review. I'm annoyed that someone like that gets to have as much of a say as someone such as myself who has been selling for 7 years without a single issue. And on this occasion, I did nothing wrong at all and my sales have absolutely tanked.
