Did you have a reserve on the guitar?  That is a non refundable listing fee and has to be paid.  Listing fees are non refundable payable sale or no sale.

You could contact eBay Customer Services explain what has happened they may, but are not obliged to waive those fees.

If the buyer has paid and there's no money in the Available section of your payment summary,  eBay will use your back up source usually your bank account to make that refund, and then the payout is released to you.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

It is difficult to advise without knowing exacyly what has happened and what the fees were for.

£150 seems a lot for an item which sold for £800.

If you chose to add a reserve, as advised, there would be a fee but only 4% of the reserve, so a lot less than £150.

Sometimes Ebay charge a fee - a % of the closing bid - if you sell an item but then cancel because you don't have the item.

Otherwise, it may be that you chose to promote your item - again, those fees are not refundable.

You have been provided with a link to contact Ebay.  Try and speak to them this morning and see if any of the fees can be waived.

Providing evidence of the theft (the police crime number for example) might make them more sympathetic.
