Can I leave feed back to an ebayer who bid full price 2 hours after listing, this stopped anybody else from bidding.

Then despite numerous reminders did not pay. Very strange as they have 100% on feedback score. They gave an excuse of,  "thought it was automatic payment" and will arrange a courier to collect goods. Now gave to relist and start again.

No,  you cannot leave a negative feedback for a buyer,  hence the missing red dot facility to do so.

For all non payers,  you just need to cancel the order after 4 days have passed, citing Buyer Has Not Paid.  This gives the buyer a non payment strike on their account.

If they gain another,  they'll find it difficult to buy from most sellers,  for a full 12 months.

Continuing to receive these strikes,  eBay may well boot them off their site.

Feedback wouldn't work anyway even if allowed,  those selling Buy it Now items, wouldn't have the time to read any feedback describing a serial non payer before they came to buy the seller's item.

Just to add, never send reminders, every time you do that you extend the 4 day payment window.

Ebay reminds them to pay.

It wasn't a buy it now. He or they just bid the starting price which was set at the most I expected to get . There was a rider for offers

Sorry,  no my example was of a non payer buying a Buy it Now item which the majority of sellers use this format,  how leaving a negative feedback which is not allowed , just would not help anyone.

Bottom line is,  negative feedback for buyers is not allowed to be left for buyers,  but  cancelling orders for non payment,  giving  out those deserved non payment strikes,  certainly does help stop those buyers if they gain 2 or more,  from going to other sellers and wrecking their auctions or their sales.

So having a 100% rating in feedback  is not a true reflection of the individual.  I checked the rating of the buyer because I thought it strange somebody bids the full price within a couple of hours, When I saw the buyer had a 100% score in feedback I kept it go. What's to stop the buyer doing it again and did they do it before?

You listed the saw on 11th January at  a starting bid of £200.  The buyer bid at a couple of hours later at the opening bid. They could not bid any less!  The auction was open for another seven days.  Anyone could have bid a higher amount during that time.  Many bidders wait until the last minute to bid.  4 days [4 x 24hours exactly] is allowed by eBay to pay and when that period is past you must open a non-payer case with eBay.  It is done on-line and if buyer does not pay then they get a defect and with just one more in a year most wise sellers will not sell to them

This is a powerful and worthwhile tool.  If only all sellers would use it.  If you have not done so please do it now.

Items for collection may give problems as - perhaps obviously - the market will be limited to those within a reasonable distance and with suitable transport.  Buyers are expected to collect personally; the logistics of a buyer arranging a courier to collect will be difficult and will take the transaction out of the Money Back Guarantee.     @ernobis

Yep,  that is correct because a buyer cannot receive a negative response,  all those sellers leaving that negative feedback all they've done is increase that non payers positive feedback score.

You ask what can be done to stop that buyer doing it again an again ?

I have explained it thoroughly above, looks like I haven't explained the situation correctly ? 🤔

If those sellers hadn't broken eBay policy rules by leaving those negatives, which as you can see had no effect, if they had opened those non payment cases, as explained,  2  strikes would prevent them buying from the majority of sellers for a full 12 months. Gaining many unpaid item strikes, eBay do remove those buyers from their site.... permanently.

I cannot stress enough,   feedback cannot help here, but cancelling orders for non payments has the correct effect of  preventing the buyer proceeding to buy from others,  and ultimately can get them banned from the site for life.

All buyers have feedback of 100%.  As has been mentioned sellers cannot leave negative feedback; you may notice that there is no "red spot".  Leaving an adverse comment on the green spot merely increases the "customer satisfaction".

Leaving an adverse comment on a green spot is against eBay's feedback rule and the buyer could ask eBay to remove and sanction the seller.

It has been that way for years to stop sellers simply "retaliating" when a buyer leaves "deserved" negative.

As soon as there is a bid BEST OFFER is no longer available.

You do not know how much the bid was, it could be any amount over the start price, but until there is a second bidder, it would only show at the start price.

Many sellers who are selling using BUY IT NOW set or automatic payments so that sale is not complete until paid for, but it does not apply to auctions. Because bidder bid at least the start price, he cannot bid less than that, does not prevent others bidding more.

One thing I did not see mentioned, giving a non payer a STRIKE, does prevent buyer leaving any feedback, as unless you do this you could receive negative feedback. There is no point in sending reminders to non payers, ebay does this automatically, but I am sure that sending a reminder does not extends the 4 days before an Unpaid Strike can be given.
