After 13 years with eBay I reluctantly stopped accepting returns after finding myself so out of pocket with the sendinging postage cost - as ebay expect you to refund in full - only to find people now just lie and say it is not as described - even when it blatantly is! No wonder sellers are moving over to Vinted.

No I don't have many but it annoys me in the extreme when people lie about the returning item. Also, if the postage is not simple postage you still have to refund the whole amount Plus the original postage cost, so you end up out of pocket either way. I think you are probably right about the increase in people returning stuff NAD if you don't allow returns, my hope was that it would put dishonest people off buying from me in the first place. I do always picture and describe to the best of my ability. But in my humble opinion I believe that a lot more should be done to stop enabling dishonest people. For example the return I have just had the person has taken pictures to support his claim, however the brooch looks exactly the same in his pictures as it does in mine. Further, he wanted me to just give him a full refund straight away, promising to return the brooch and pay the postage himself! But thank you for your thought tressygirl. I wish you and everyone lots of happy ebaying.

Having a ' No Returns' policy on your listing will not stop people claiming item not as described, in my humble opinion it may only increase the number . At least with those that do return with a Returns Policy in place, the buyer pays for the return postage.
You have been very unlucky if you have had so many returns for NAD, in 14 years of selling I had none.
You have some lovely items for sale, is it of one type you are receiving these cases , say jewellery? Your description are great so I cannot see any issue there, as said, if you have over the average returns for NAD you have been extremely unlucky, but I cannot see changing to No Returns would help the matter.🤔

To add insult to injury, the brooch has arrived today and this dishonest man has returned the brooch with damage! I now will be out of pocket not only by all the post costs but also will be unable to resell the brooch. I cannot print here how I feel.

If you haven't yet refunded there should be an option there to report a problem, and one of the reasons is that the item has been returned damaged.
