Faulty refurbished item, unable to contact seller or ebay

Purchased a refurbished laptop in september 24' and after 4 months the hinge has already snapped. When trying to contact the seller i get a error message saying 'unable to load conversation', and with no ebay customer support im stuck. Which is the best way for me to go about this? It says i have a 12 month warranty, will i have a claim?

Any help greatly appreciated!

If you bought an item with the Ebay 'Refurbished Guarantee' you should be covered for a year but, you should have a document (email) with the key details and exclusions.  Only business sellers can offer this service which is backed by Ebay, so there should be contact details for the seller on their listings (phone number and address) if you can't message them through Ebay.  You will have to sort this out with the seller.

Your seller guarantee information

All Refurbished items come with a minimum 12-month seller guarantee (available on orders sent to a Mainland UK delivery address). The guarantee covers any defects in functionality.

Once your order has been confirmed, the seller will send you a separate email with details of the seller guarantee, what's covered and their contact information. Alternatively, this information will be included in the parcel when the item is sent to you.

Please make sure you hold on to this information for the duration of the guarantee.

I would still phone or write a letter to the seller.
