Fake timberland

Iv reported account s selling fake timberland boots only to be told the agent thinks no ebay policy has been broken.  How is this I have even bought of one seller who is using pic's of authentic boots but sends out fake .iv opened a case but now think ebay will side with the seller. What's is going on with this platform?

Ebay never acts on reports via listings, but buyers will win a claim of 'not as described' using the money back guarantee.

eBay does not accept reports of counterfeits from ordinary users, only from the registered owner of the brand name. Quote: "Only intellectual property rights owners can report eBay listings that infringe on their copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights".

Instead, eBay suggests that "Members who are not the rights owner can still help by getting in touch with the owner and encouraging them to contact us. Some rights owners who participate in the VeRO Program have created a participant page, so eBay members can find out more about their products and legal positions. Though not all VeRO participants have a page, those that do can be found at our VeRO participant pages - opens in new window or tab".
