Fake bidder - what happens?

I suspect I had a fake bidder on my car. I will wait 4 days as advised. But if the sale falls through, can it be offered to the next highest bidder? Does eBay have a process for this ?

Cancel as unpaid on day 4, buyer gets strike (hidden).

You can then offer car to 2nd bidder.

If you relist, you pay listing fee again.

To be fair, car only sold yesterday, so you may be a bit quick worrying.

Fake bidder - what happens?

I appreciate it's very soon. But they have no history on their account & another bidder quickly offered to buy it straight after (should the sale fall through). I've got a strange feeling about it. I'm wondering if this other bidder used a fake account to secure it & will now offer a lower amount.

Thank you for your advice that's very useful.
