Fake Dyson Hairdryer

Hi All, I bought a Dyson Hairdryer on here until this account 2 years ago. I recently sent it to Dyson for repair and its fake! As such, they have destroyed it.

I have an official letter from them and i feel this should be refunded via ebay as its not the product i thought it was !

However i cannot email/mail them as i cant select this specific product as it was too long ago

Any help would be really great

You are correct,  it is too long ago for you to report it to eBay.

If this was a one off sale the seller made,  nothing more you can do,  they themselves may have even unwittingly bought a fake item.

However,  if this seller is still selling these items , slim chance but they may be,  you could report back to Dyson giving username ID,  then it's up to Dyson if they wish to notify eBay,  and up to eBay to act on any information received.

eBay provides a 30 day money back guarantee for most items sold here, but after 30 days they will not get involved. Any responsibility now rests with the seller.

eBay warned you in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". So you knew there was a risk that the item may not be as described, and any protection from eBay would only last for 30 days. Would you have bought this from a shop that stated this? eBay is a jungle.
