Error message when trying to list

This error message comes up when i try to list an item. "We are sorry - there was an error "

You have returned to selling it seems after a long break,  you may be prevented from listing an item, because you have not fully or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

You are only registered as a PRIVATE SELLER with many new items and variations.

It is possible that it has been identified as a BUSINESS ACCOUNT, which is required for these sort of sales. I understand variations is being withdrawn  as private sellers do not have multiple items to sell.

I see there was a delay in the listings appearing, and you really should look at upgrading to a Business account as your listings come under that guise and  to comply with ebay policies

TO Upgrade your account:

Go to Account settings in My eBay.
Select Personal information.
Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

You can keep your existing listings as a private seller
