Edit Tracking details

Good morning!

This is the first time I've used eBay for selling items for a very long time and i have to say, the postage side of things is not very confusing. I recently sold an item, so I arranged my own courier as Royal Mail are *bleep* and sent it. I didn't realise that I had to use eBays courier service (which is RM). Now my listing has inaccurate tracking information because I didnt use the eBays postage method.

How can I change the tracking details on my listing? I've messaged the buyer with the tracking information from my own courier.

Any help or advice is very much appreciated.

See if you can change the tracking number at View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow.   That has to be done on a desktop browser.

If not generate the original prepaid Simple Delivery label and try again.

Afterwards if you paid for the original SD label you can cancel it here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

The item has to be sent with a tracked service in order to receive the refund for the unused Simple Delivery label.

Or if the buyer paid for it it will be refunded to them automatically in 30 days.

Even if you don't manage to do the above the payment will be released anyway in 14 days.

Thank you Peaseblossom. I managed to change the tracking number, added the specific courier, yet ebay seems to think the courier I've used is Yodel when it is in fact InPost. I've messaged the buyer anyway with the correct tracking info. I know one things for sure, I won't be using ebay again. Ebay is also charging me £10 for using a service that I haven't used.

Yodel is now part of InPost probably why eBay have quoted them as carrier

I managed to add the tracking details and the buyer has now received the item. However, it looks like I’m being charged for a postage label I did not ask for or use. Is there a way I can get my money back for it?

this is exactly why I don’t use eBay anymore. Too complicated and you get charged for everything.
