Ebay fee charged on Home. Furniture & DIY

I am a business aeller and sell modern reproduction grandfather clocks.

I am a little confused on the fees ebay charge - I cannot figure out if the  fees are 11.9% or 12.9% on every £500?

It is not an antique so I was thinking that it may be classed as a 'furniture' item?  Clearly it is a clock though so the 6.9% will not apply.

Can anyone comment on this?

Thank you for your time and help 🙂

Re: Ebay fee charged on Home. Furniture & DIY

  • 10.9% for the portion of the total amount of the sale up to £500 (calculated per item)
  • 7.9% for the portion of the total amount of the sale above £500 and up to £1,000 (calculated per item)
  • 3% for the portion of the total amount of the sale above £1,000

Seems clear enough to me, this is for furniture not antiques, so a £1000 item would be £500 @ 10.9% and £500 @ 7.9%. £54.50 plus £39.50 = £94.

John, I sold a repro floor clock under the furniture category for £1100 and the ebay fees were £134.

Are you sure they were all FVF and did you add the VAT and postage?

If you think the fees were wrong, which is very unlikely,  you will need to ask ebay CS.
