Did you open a case for the return and if so what type of case did you open? Was the label supplied by ebay?

By rights if delivery is refused and tracking states this then you are protected. However you may need to point this last point out to customer services. What is odd however is why you haven't or cannot upload tracking if there is a case open?

The link above will get you a call back from ebay, however I would always suggest doing this first thing in the morning as you have  a better chance of getting someone in Dublin to help you. Lines open at 9am on weekends or 8am during the week.

If you have more questions then please ask away.

Re: EBay useless in relation to issue I’m having with seller and bot hasn’t a clue. Impossible just

Started a return and posted item Royal Mail tracked 48. Went to enter on site but site didn’t store tracking info. Item was on its way. I notified the seller of tracking info and that eBay wasn’t storing tracking info. Seller didn’t seem to understand thought I was the recipient. Informed them that I was retuning parcel and that it was due out for delivery. Royal Mail then says delivery was refused at return address. Informed seller. Seller then asks me for proof of delivery and then says I’ll get a refund. No refund forthcoming and then they say they’ve changed their mind. EBay just keeps referring me to item needing tracking info but still won’t let it be stored on my account. Can’t speak to anyone and then they say bot just goes through the same again and again.
It’s not a big amount but it’s more the principle that no one can be contactable at eBay

If it concerns the negative feedback you left recently, you say that "Someone refused delivery at the address eBay specified, still waiting for refund".

The address that eBay specifies is either your own, registered address or an alternative address that you requested at checkout. If your registered address has changed, it was your responsibility to update it. If delivery was correctly attempted to the address specified you won't be entitled to any refund. If delivery is refused this invalidates the protection provided by eBay's money back guarantee.

If this is what happened you may have to contact the seller and offer to pay for it to be reposted if it is returned to them.

If it was something different, could you let us have more information so that someone here can provide the correct answer.

It’s nothing to do with my address it’s the address that eBay stated to send return to. If I follow that instruction why am I responsible if someone refuses it. I don’t specify any return address when I place an order and never have
