EBay sharing my email address with delivery company

Hi

I have asked EBay not to share my email address with delivery companies but they have failed to comply and customer services have stopped answering my pleas. When I post goods I never have to give an email address for it to be delivered so only see EBay's policy as breaching my privacy and security.

Is there a body / regulator I can raise this with in the UK? Thank you

No, it'll be in eBay's terms and conditions.

What's the actual problem with delivery companies having your email address? How are they supposed to contact you and advise of a time slot when they'll be delivering?

Why don't you set up another email address just for sole use for your eBay account if you don't want to use your main email address?

EBay sharing my email address with delivery company

Hi
Thanks  a separate email account seems a good idea although that seems akin to using a burner phone.
Courier companies claiming that they require my email address to deliver efficiently is spurious since I know when a parcel should be delivered by the terms (48hours etc) when I pay. And, they are quite happy to throw parcels over a fence or place against doors, with the obligatory  picture, and claim delivery.
When I go into a Post Office and post a parcel I am not required to give my email address. In this age where information is 'gold' I don't see the sense in leaving my personal information back door open to random strangers. That said each to their own and thanks again for the advice
