EBay deductions

How do you get through to eBay support?

I’ve had a buyer cancel an order that they hadn’t paid for yet and eBay have deducted the value and sent to the buyer!!!

I have never heard of ebay refunding where a buyer hasn't paid.

However I have seen many examples where the buyer's payment has not cleared into the seller's account and so the refund comes out of the seller's alternative source of funding.

The buyer's payment then clears into the seller's account and they are back to square one.

Is this what happened?

It looks like you've started selling again after over a year's absence, you may not realise how much has changed.

Buyers no longer pay the seller - they pay eBay. If eBay has refunded the buyer they must have paid, but because you haven't sold anything for so long your payment will be held for up to 30 days as a security precaution.

Even if eBay has received the buyer's payment, they will still take the money from the bank account you nominated for this purpose. Having done so, hopefully eBay will soon release the buyer's payment to reimburse you.
