EBAY LIVE CHAT IN THE UK REMOVED?

Has the Agent Chat facility in the UK been permanently removed? 

I have been trying to resolve an issue with a returned item that I sold and I need to discuss my options with eBay. Each time I try to access Live Chat, I am only given the option for eBay to call me.

This has been problematic in the past, as the agent often struggles with English.

 

To be honest, the whole platform has descended into a poor 'Vinted' clone since Buyer Protection and no fees for private sellers was introduced.

It seems that it has been discontinued.

 

However, the returns process is largely automated, if you'd like to explain the problem with it I'm sure that somebody here can advise.

Thanks @vyolla. Very disappointing that the Chat facility is no longer available - I was able to access it once in the last 2 weeks, but nothing since Friday. It used to be a quick solution for queries. The current Call Back wait time is 13mins.

 

The issue - a buyer has returned a new item, but has washed it. It was mint, but is now unsellable. He argues that that it has not been washed or worn, but the listing photos prove otherwise. 

 

eBay seems to think this is OK, but I would like to discuss the matter further and provide evidence.

 

The fact that you can no longer leave negative feedback against a buyer who abuses the system or never makes payment is a complete joke. Buyer Protection - what happened to Seller Protection?
