Duplicate order

I ordered an item , but later noticed two of the same item in my purchase order history. Thought I had made a mistake at first but later noticed the second order hit only seconds after the first and the item was for 100 pieces each so if I wanted two I could have just clicked 2. Just one item was delivered on 4.28 and was what I wanted so gave positive feedback. On 4.30 the second one arrived and I elected to return it as I never wanted a second. TWO sellers then contacted me about the return, one in NSW and one in China, both clearly requiring more on postage to return than the item cost. That made me look back at the details and suspect a duplicate order had been created automatically. I tried to talk to ebay about this possibility but they fobbed me off saying it is impossible. I tried to convince the buyer that they had a problem but they just pointed out I initially chose ordered my mistake and my reason for return and that they did not recommend returning due to postage cost. No point having a return policy which is not effective. Anyone else seen this ?

I have not seen any posts in the forum with this issue so i don't believe it is something that happens often.

I don't know what the cost of the item was, but if it was sent to you from within the UK, you would have to be given a UK address to return it to.

You would need to use tracked postage.

Have you opened a return case?

If you have, and the item was sent from within the UK but the seller won't provide a UK address, you can ask Ebay to step in.
