Dodgy email.

Ive had an email from ‘ebay’ thanking me for my purchase of an Apple Watch 

I haven’t ordered it 

I’ve checked my bank

Ive checked my actual eBay account 

Nothing there

All ok to ignore ????

Sadly spoof ebay emails can appear,so scan your device and make sure it's all upto date and don't click on anything.

Probably, but what does it actually say?

 

If it's asking you to pay for an item that isn't in your purchase history, it's a scam. The message presumably contains a helpful but fake link for you to log in! I doubt whether the scammer would expect anyone to pay for an Apple watch they didn't buy, but the scam will be to panic you into giving away your password.

 

If it's just a "confirmation of purchase" this would be more worrying, and could have implied that your account had been hijacked. But you appear to have eliminated this possibility, which is reassuring.
