Delivery information

I bought an item for £700, but just noticed the delivery name is my eBay username instead of my real name. Payment went through fine, but I’m worried the courier might not deliver because of the name mismatch. Has anyone had this happen before? Did it cause problems?

They go by address, not the name at that address.   So you'll be OK.

When you pay, the address should show there, I do not know how a user name has got into your address, but you should check what your registered details look like.

Should not affect delivery but you probably do not want everyone to know your user ID.

Being over £450 your item will require a signature on delivery.

I don't think it will matter that your signature won't match the name of the addressee.

The signature is to provide evidence of delivery. Anyone on the premises can normally sign for deliveries.

By the way, £700 is a lot to pay for what appears to be a first purchase on eBay. Keep in mid that buying from unknown sellers on eBay can be risky. The important thing to know is that you have 30 days from delivery to use eBay's money back guarantee, if necessary. Don't, under any circumstances, be talked into missing this deadline. If you have to open a case, to avoid making any errors please feel free to check here first. You only get one chance, and if you get anything wrong the case will be closed and that's the end of it. It happens all the time!
