Would it be possible to deliver the item to a location not linked to the buyer? The scenario is the following. Buyer wants to buy a lock for the front door of the house. The seller could make a copy of the key before sending the lock and access the property (since the seller has the address) at a later stage.
This problem can be solved by sending the lock with the keys to a location not linked to the buyer, such as a post office or one of those lockers from Amazon and other companies that you see around in gas stations.

You are over thinking this, I doubt most sellers would do that.
You can choose a different address at checkout if you are worried,
either a new home address or click & collect store of seller is opted in.

Sellers have to post to the address you enter at checkout, so the solution is in your hands.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this Click & Collect. It is exactly what I was looking for. In my case, the option was not available because, as you say, it is something the seller has to set on their listings. For more info: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/clickandcollect/
